Welcome to this Gifted Education blog!

I am a teacher and Gifted Education program facilitator based in Melbourne, Australia. Through this blog, I will share resources for parents, teachers and anyone interested in learning more about gifted education! 

I have been a teacher for ten years, working first with primary school students and more recently with students from Years Prep-12 in my role as a facilitator of gifted programs. I have always had an interest in gifted education and have recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Gifted Education through the University of New South Wales.

  What is Perfectionism?   Perfectionism is a common social-emotional concern of gifted students. Perfectionism occurs when students have very high expectations of themselves (and sometimes of others). Perfectionism can be healthy or positive (striving to do your best within your capabilities).
